Matthew Schrader is an artist and educator based in New York. Schrader’s work moves between sculpture, image making, spatial intervention and collaboration. Recent projects have engaged aspects of landscape, migration, material memory and circulations of power. He received an MFA in Sculpture from the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard College and a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Schrader’s work has appeared in exhibitions at MoMA PS1, White Columns, P!, The Abrons Art Center, MINI/Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residencies Ludlow 38, Gertrude and Room East. He is a recipient of The Rema Hort Mann Foundation Emerging Artist Grant in New York City.
